Risoil was one of the first companies to export fodder wheat to Bangladesh this marketing year. It is noteworthy that the above-mentioned crop is imported as «Fit for human consumption», ie, suitable for human consumption. Usually, wheat is sent to Bangladesh from India, Canada, Australia, Ukraine and Russia.
In this and last seasons, India itself has become an importer of wheat, and it is due to crop failure in the last few years. Because of the drought in Australia, wheat yield estimation by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is 11 million tons less than last year.
The price for Australian wheat is $ 30 more than the Black Sea one. The similar situation is in Canada: a crop failure (-5.2 million tons) led to rise of prices in comparison with CIS countries. Russia mainly exports wheat with a higher protein content, from 11.5 to 12.5%. In this regard, Ukraine is practically the only supplier of fodder wheat to South Asia this season.
It shall be reminded that Risoil Company is among the top 20 grain exporters from Ukraine.
